2000/Gordon & MacPhail

A very positive relationship with Navyblue

Gordon & MacPhail enjoy a very positive relationship with
Navyblue which stretches back to 1994, and with Douglas
Alexander their MD, over 25 years. Through their innovative
fresh approach, coupled with high levels of service and an
understanding of our heritage and traditional roots they
developed design solutions for us that are admired by
a worldwide audience commanding comments like
"stunning" and "wow".

2001/The Miller Group

Our relationship has evolved over the last 10 years, so much so that Navyblue is now the guardian of the Miller brand

Navyblue first worked with The Miller Group back in 1999,
designing our annual report, and since then have gone on to
reposition our brand and in particular promoting the Housing
business into a new league. This has been a major contribution
to that business’s success. Our relationship has evolved over
the last 10 years, so much so that Navyblue is now the guardian
of the Miller brand and we see them very much as an extension
of the marketing team. To win the Design Consultancy of the
Decade Award is a great achievement and I’d like to offer my
congratulations and best wishes for the decade to come.

We've always worked in close partnership with the Navyblue team – in fact we see them as an extension of our own!

Our relationship with Navyblue began with the creation
of a strong and distinctive new identity for Bright Grey that
continues to give us stand out in our marketplace. We've always
worked in close partnership with the Navyblue team – in fact we
see them as an extension of our own! They regularly wow us with fresh creative ideas and we enjoy the passion and enthusiasm with which they deliver them. Navyblue would certainly be our choice for Agency of the Decade – so we’re delighted that they’ve won this title.

They understand how to design with creativity and clarity

Navyblue has rich experience in mission-critical design
work. They understand how to design with creativity and
clarity, and stick to the tough parameters laid down by the
IOC. . . the strategy, technical and creative skills – and
above all the passion that Navyblue has shown over the
past six months. . . have made this enormous task as
painless as possible. Navyblue should be congratulated for delivering this vital and historic work ahead of schedule.

A powerful, modern identity

The new Club badge is a powerful, modern identity.
We have sought to reflect our traditions as well as our
reputation for style. We knew it would be important to
develop a badge everyone would feel was progressive, but
without any sense of loss of our proud heritage and I feel we
have achieved that. It has a contemporary feel that reflects
the youth and dynamism of the Club, as well as expressing
our ambitions and aspirations.

I am happy that we took a big breath and have done this

Hungarian radio is a complex brand and also exposed to quite different audiences. . . we have been very satisfied to work with Navyblue. They understood our strategy, helped refine it for our communications needs, developed an architecture, look and feel as well as logo and collateral that are quite unique in the media world of Central Europe, commercial or public. I am happy
that we took a big breath and have done this.

A great bunch to work with—hardworking, unflappable, intelligent and fun

I’m chuffed for you guys, but not surprised - Navyblue has consistently delivered damn good work, no matter how tight
our deadlines, ridiculous our demands (a branded marquee anyone?), or tight our budgets. And they're also a great bunch
to work with — hardworking, unflappable, intelligent and fun.

We’re planning to walk tall with them into a bright retail future.

Navyblue has been fundamental in empowering our ‘Walk Tall’
proposition to a trade audience. Helping facilitate a cultural
mind-set shift from a whisper to a shout. Exuding a singularity
of message and a retail confidence for our customers. We’re
planning to walk tall with them into a bright retail future.

2010/Design Consultancy of the Decade

Blood, sweat & tears

Design Consultancy of the Decade? It may take another
ten years for it to sink in.

The journey has been shared by many. You start a business.
You work hard. You win. You lose. You come somewhere in
between. You do good work, and you do great work. You help
build businesses and brands. You nurture talent. And you lift
your fair share of trophies.

But this is something else. We haven’t built our reputation
on being shy or retiring. But just this once we’re actually
lost for words. So we’ll leave the talking to someone else...
